SafeCare is a parenting program in which professionals provide weekly in-home, direct skills training to parents in the areas of infant and child health care, home safety, and parent-child interactions.

Educators make weekly home visits lasting from 50-90 minutes each for about 20 weeks, per family. SafeCare is a structured, evidence-based, and in-home parenting program that involves a provider and parent working together to create a safe home environment. The provider, also known as a home visitor, assists the parent in providing structure and routines, while encouraging systematic health decision-making to keep children safe while in their homes. Achieving SafeCare Accreditation means joining a collaborative of superior service providers and thought leaders who innovate and enhance quality in the health system. Through implementing evidence-based practice, data-sharing and networking accredited providers set the pace for excellence in health service delivery.
